I heard it once said that people share things in Google’s search box that they wouldn’t even share with their doctor. Well that may be changing (to a degree) with the announcement that Google is bringing advanced voice controls to their Google TV product. Users can access the channel guide, change channels, and launch apps all by way of a voice command. A unique feature is the addition of a microphone on the remote which allows users to input voice commands directly into the remote. The next time you want to watch the latest episode of a guilty pleasure reality show (Jersey Shore maybe?) you won’t need to channel surf for the program, you’ll just need to say the program out loud, but then again maybe you don’t want to say it out loud.
